RAGE!on June 22, 2016 at 3:48 pm
The script just arrived and it has begun. It’s time to bring the carnage with the biggest, baddest, monster in issue #2 of IDW’s “Godzilla: Rage Across Time”! Yup, scratch another one off the bucket list, I’m illustrating a full issue of Godzilla, that’s set to drop this September. Writer Chris Mowry has crafted up an awesome story for me that pits the arrogant elemental gods of Greek mythology we love to… love and curse against the greatest creature the world has ever known. Don’t worry, you can expect sneak peaks in the coming weeks.
Also out this week from IDW is the awesome weekly released mini series written by my buddies Ben Bates and Dustin Weaver, a couple of 1, 2, badasses in the comics game, Bebop & Rocksteady: Destroy Everything! Anyway, check it out its got a whole slew of super talented artist working on it, I was even able to make a contribution. Rocksteady was always my favorite so… YES PLEASE. Check it out, there is a nice little preview over at CBR. I highly recomend picking up the entire series not only because there is a boat load of talent working on this, but Dustin and Ben are literally two the most talented and hard working people working in the industry today. If you asked me: “hey, Tadd, I want to get into comics, who working today should I look to as an example?” I would probably say: “Dustin Weaver and Ben Bates…. mother @#$%in’ badasses over there!” So yeah, drop some change on the piece of pop. It’s more than worth your love and devotion.
Well that’s all folks. What else….? I’m forgetting something…. Oh yeah, I’m currently setting something up for Backwoods T-shirts, if thats something that strikes a fancy. I’ve got a couple new shirt designs in the works for chapter 2 as well as the “Mule Deer” design that will be offered. It should be pretty cool. Last thing concerning The Backwoods – I’m setting up a Patreon account (I have been for a while now), but I’m almost there, just hashing out all the goals and rewards. I want to really offer significant rewards to patrons, as well as be completely transparent and precise with where contributions are being invested. The Backwoods is a project designed not only for me to improve as an artist and storyteller, but for everyone and myself to have fun. ‘Cause thats what its all about in life, having a a good ol’ time.
Gnar the jolly pig.
